Thank you for giving!

We humbly want to thank you for giving to Homes of Hope. The mothers and the children in the capital city of Suva are greatly changed by your giving.

We would like to introduce a Fiji charity to you: Homes of Hope. This local organization has been registered as a Fijian charity for eight years. Our main objectives are to strengthen families to know that the family is a place of rest, peace, and purpose. To meet these objectives, Homes of Hope (a non-government organization) operates a Home for single mothers and provides prevention programs as well.

Presently, Homes of Hope operates a safe home for young single mothers in Tamavua, Suva. At this Home a young single mother and her child receive food, housing, care, and programs so they might have a fresh start on life. Through the programs, a mother learns to establish positive life patterns, gains instruction on mothering, develops needed academic skills, practices proper money management, and acquires practical business experience. Committing to new principles gives a young mother the opportunity to develop new skills that will change both her life and the lives of her children.

In addition to the Residential Home, Homes of Hope strives to make an impact on the community through a prevention strategy. We network with local organizations and churches to train leaders who will promote and teach issues of marriage and family. We also travel to schools and groups of youth to reach out with a message of sexual purity and fidelity in marriage. An additional component of the prevention strategy is teaching young couples the foundational issues of marriage.

We thank you for your time and attention to this ministry. We thank you for your kind and generous support. Strong families build a strong community; a strong community builds a strong nation. We hope to partner with you to build strong and unified families so that our nation will itself be strong and unified.

In Truth and Hope,

Directors of Homes of Hope
